Hello there

So really quickly about me: Hi, you can call me Sascha, I go by he/they pronouns unless something else is funnier in context, I speak german, english and dutch fluently, though this site is entirely in english, I am an anarchist, a huge nerd about psychology, philosophy and sociology, I deeply believe in the personal/indie web and I have been balls deep in fandom culture since I was like 12.

Nothing here is mine except for the stuff it is.

Discourse uninvolved. Go touch grass.

Terfs can fuck right off.

Welcome to the Somnus
So what is this site? Well, you found a neocities site so you probably know what the personal/indie web is, but just in case you don't: This is a personal website. It's gonna have my bullshit writing, things I'm interested in, my personal project and a bunch of fandom stuff, as well as whatever else I feel like adding. Basically it's my main presence in the nebulous void that is the internet. I'll probably add a small essay or something with why the personal web is super cool and important and all that shit later on but for now that's everything you need to know. I'll also soon start to link other cool sites by people who are better at this than I am as well as some resources to make your own site so you, dear reader, will have no excuse >:]
But why??
Put simply? Because I can. And also because most modern social media is terrible and coporate and depressing and while I am too young to have ever experienced anything except this corporate hellscape, I do yearn for a space where I can talk about being queer and being chronically ill and being an anarchist and leftist topics and whatever the fuck else I feel like without needing to censor myself to appease a filter or an algorhythm. Besides, let's be real, it's cool as fuck and some serious nerd cred to be able to say you upkeep a website. But yes, in a world that is becoming increasingly beige, authoritarian and corporate internet, now overrun by fucking AI making everything worse for no actual reason, the personal web is a refuge for the queer, leftist, cringe and fun and so here we are, I hope you at least consider making a site after reading this.
